Third-year University of Alberta Golden Bears’ linebacker Connor Ralph has been named to the IFAF (International Federation of American Football) World Team roster for the second straight year.
On February 5, 2013 the IFAF World Team squad will take on Team USA in the fourth annual International Bowl in Austin, Texas.
Ralph, a former Raymond Comet, has racked up 69 solo tackles and 79.5 total tackles in his two seasons as a Golden Bear. The 5-11, 220lbs linebacker also has three-and-a-half sacks, one interception and one pass knockdown in 16 games with the U of A.
He was a member of the team that defeated Team USA last year 35-29, which was the first time Team USA had been defeated in IFAF competition.
The International Bowl is part of Football Canada’s programs of excellence which provides opportunities for Canadian football players to develop and showcase their abilities nationally as well as internationally.
